What is the Choice of Repairer Campaign?

On behalf of Australia's independent aftermarket, the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA) is launching the Choice of Repairer campaign to promote consumer choice and fair competition in the automotive parts, accessories, repair and service industry.

The aims of the Choice of Repairer campaign are to:

  • Increase Competition in the accessories and replacement parts, and vehicle repair and servicing sectors.
  • Eliminate any technical or legal barriers that limit the ability of independent aftermarket businesses to access the necessary information, tools and equipment required to maintain and repair customers' vehicles to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Protect consumer choice to have their vehicle serviced, maintained and repaired in a timely manner, at competitive prices in their preferred workshop.
